CARDIO TENNIS

Hey guys!

My name is Anna Edelman I am a tennis professional with 10+ years of experience teaching adults and juniors. I specialize in running high-energy cardio tennis clinics as well as working with tournament players. A native of New York, I have been an avid tennis player since childhood, and was a strong competitor as a junior. I played in USTA tournaments in the 12s through the 18s at the regional and national level including Nationals, Super Nationals and ITF tournaments. I was recruited to Binghamton University’s NCAA Division 1 Women’s Tennis Team where I competed at #1 singles and doubles. Upon graduation, I was hired as the assistant coach for the women’s team.

I am USPTA and Cardio Tennis Certified and was inducted into Binghamton’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Cardio tennis is a group fitness class that combines elements of tennis with cardiovascular exercise. It is designed to provide an intense, full-body workout while practicing and developing tennis skills.

Here are some key points about cardio tennis:

- Drills and exercises are incorporated to work on specific tennis strokes like forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves.

-6-8 people per court led by a tennis instructor

-The stop-and-go nature of hitting combined with the running/cardio portions provides an interval training style workout.

- It aims to improve agility, endurance, coordination and cardiovascular fitness while allowing people to practice tennis techniques.

Cardio tennis combines the skills of tennis with high-intensity aerobic exercise intervals to create a fun, social, calorie-burning full-body workout experience.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
